Long Legged Creatures inhabit an inventive middle ground between the artificial and the analogically pure. LLC’s unique blend of ever-twisting electronica has shaped their live appearances into some kind of hybrid; on one hand a groove-laden club set, the other a punk show, all executed within the realms of live instrumentation colluding with abrasive electronics. After playing some heavy hitting shows this year alongside the likes of Mildlife, Noya Rao, Yussef Dayes and Joy Orbison as well as independently releasing three singles, (‘Spent’ (ft Joshua Zero), ‘Demonise’ and ‘CMAD’ (BBC West Yorkshire’s single of the week 20.01.20) ) LLC’s steezy electronic spirit has earned them a ‘not-to-be-missed’ status amongst the UK’s underground scene.

Long Legged Creatures formed in 2018, and in that first year we hit the ground running, releasing two singles and playing alongside some pretty heavyweight bands in some amazing venues. Our highlights have been supporting Yussef Dayes at Belgrave Music Hall, Noya Rao at Headrow House, Zeñel in London, Necktr at Brudenell Social Club and performing at Liverpool Soundcity. 2019 carried on the momentum. We released two more singles and music videos after being chosen by Music:Leeds for their mentor programme. We performed at Kallida Festival alongside Têtes De Pois and Joy Orbison, Tramlines Festival and supported Mildlife at Brudenell Social Club. On top of this, our music has been aired on BBC Introducing - chosen as track of the week, LSR, Amazing Radio, KMAH and Pretend Radio.

We now look to 2020. Two UK tours on the way, a single and EP to be released, a headline show at Belgrave Music Hall hosted by Scruff of the Neck - awarded Best Small Label by Independent Music Awards 2019- and a run of UK festivals. We can’t wait!

“The group seem set to be on their way to succeed in titillating fans with dark, crunching and experimental bangers. The future looks bright for Long Legged Creatures.” - Jazz Revelation 2019

“Long Legged Creatures’ groove electronics-embossed music didn’t allow anybody to stand still.” - Leeds Living 2019

“This is definitely a young Leeds-based band on the rise, delivering the kind of live performance to win over the knowledgeable Brudenell regulars. Anyone who has the opportunity to experience this quartet live is advised take it!” - Leeds Living 2019
